Why Choose Well exists

Choosing well begins before choosing someone.

CHOOSE WELL is a Christian relationship-readiness and discipleship programme—not a dating or matchmaking platform.

It helps young Christians become emotionally and spiritually mature, recognise healthy character, assess compatibility and prepare realistically for covenant marriage.

The central shift

The question is bigger than “Who should I choose?”

Do not focus only on finding the right person.

Become the kind of person capable of recognising, choosing and building a healthy, Christ-centred marriage.

A different approach

Preparation is part of the decision.

CHOOSE WELL brings personal formation, responsible discernment and realistic preparation into one coherent approach.

  1. 01

    Become Ready

Develop spiritual maturity, emotional health, character and responsibility.

  2. 02

    Choose Wisely

Grow in discernment, assess compatibility and recognise unhealthy patterns.

  3. 03

    Build Well

Prepare for honest conversations, mutual responsibility and lifelong commitment.

Five non-negotiable commitments

Trust is built by how wisdom is handled.

These commitments shape the programme now. Facilitated delivery requires appropriate operational safeguarding arrangements.

  1. 01

    Biblically grounded

Scripture shapes the purpose and ethics of the programme.

  2. 02

    Psychologically informed

Emotional health, trauma and behavioural patterns are treated responsibly.

  3. 03

    Culturally aware

African, British, family and church expectations are discussed honestly.

  4. 04

    Safeguarding-led

Safety standards inform programme design; facilitated delivery requires appropriate safeguarding arrangements.

  5. 05

    Practically honest

The programme avoids fantasies, false promises and spiritual manipulation.

Clear by design

Honest about what it is. Clear about what it is not.

Choose Well is

  • Education and discipleship
  • A relationship-readiness programme
  • A source of structured reflection
  • Encouragement to seek qualified support when appropriate

Choose Well is not

  • A dating or matchmaking platform
  • A prophetic spouse-identification service
  • A guarantee of marriage or romantic outcomes
  • Pressure toward a relationship
  • A substitute for therapy, medical care or legal advice

Mutual willingness, observable character, wisdom, counsel and time remain essential.

What success actually means

Not simply more relationships. Wiser decisions.

Success is not measured by how many people begin relationships or marry.

  1. 01

    Improved discernment

  2. 02

    Healthier boundaries

  3. 03

    More honest premarital conversations

  4. 04

    Greater recognition of abuse

  5. 05

Wiser decisions about when to proceed, pause or walk away
